We have Greater Expectations
At GETAC, we believe that every family, especially autistic children and their caregivers, deserves support that is equitable, culturally responsive, and rooted in dignity.
We partner with schools, community organizations, clinicians, and families to build systems of care that validate lived experiences, elevate communities of color, and create long-term, sustainable change.

Transforming Care Through Justice, Equity, and Humanity
GETAC was founded from a lived story, two parents navigating the challenges of advocating for their autistic son in systems that weren’t built with families like theirs in mind. That experience fuels our work today: ensuring that families, especially Black and Brown families, are met with compassion, representation, relevant resources, and care that honors their identities.
We help people and organizations create environments where parents feel validated, educators feel prepared, leaders feel equipped, and families feel empowered.
What We Help You Achieve
Our mission is to help you dismantle barriers, strengthen trust, and build practices that make every family feel seen. After working with GETAC, our partners walk away feeling:
Equipped to serve diverse communities
Inspired to integrate culturally responsive practices
Confident in navigating complex systems
Renewed in their commitment to justice
Optimistic about sustainable change
These emotional outcomes are intentional because transformation starts with how people feel, not just what they know.

Who We Support
We proudly collaborate with:
Educational institutions seeking culturally responsive professional development
Behavioral and mental health service providers who want to better serve autistic families of color
Community organizations aiming to improve equity and engagement
Parents, caregivers, and father figures navigating autism services and advocacy
Faith-based organizations building inclusive programs

Why GETAC Is Different
We are not just educators. Not just scholars. Not just clinicians. We are parents, advocates, researchers, and practitioners who understand the complexities of autism support in communities of color — because we’ve lived it, studied it, and dedicated our careers to transforming it.
